Clean Water Management Trust Fund

Roles and Responsibilities of an Advisory Committee Member

Under the legislation creating the Clean Water Management Trust Fund, four state government agencies are specifically named (Commerce, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Wildlife Resources) as Advisory Members of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Review grant proposals and/or summaries in order to provide input, insight and the perspective of the agency on matters under consideration.

2. Provide written comments, when applicable, on grants and policy initiatives under review by the Board of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund.

3. Attend Clean Water Management Trust Fund board and committee meetings.

4. Advise agency field representatives of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund meetings, and request their attendance.

5. Provide relevant comments and insights at Clean Water Management Trust Fund board and committee meetings.

6. Be an ambassador for the Clean Water Management Trust Fund.

7. Promote the missions, goals, and accomplishments of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund with the legislature, agency constituents and the public at large.

8. Provide feedback to the Clean Water Management Trust Fund from the represented agency, legislature, agency constituents and the public at large, on Clean Water Management Trust Fund actions and activities.

9. Share resources of the agency, where mutually beneficial.

10. Meet twice annually with the Clean Water Management Trust Fund to discuss the larger, universal issues related to water across the state, in recognition that water and the activities of the Clean Water Management Trust Fund have significant impacts on commerce, agriculture, wildlife resources and habitat, and the state agencies involved in environmental issues.
