Monday’s meeting begins at
8:30 a.m. and will be held at the Cedar Rock Country Club, 450 Cedar
Rock Estate Drive In addition, the board will hear presentations from Louis Price, manager, City of Lenoir and Linda Story, manager, Town of Granite Falls, on the Granite Falls/Lenoir Water Project and from Deborah Ashley, director, Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce on the Wilson Creek National Wild & Scenic River Project. The CWMTF was established in 1996 to help finance projects that enhance or restore degraded waters, protect unpolluted waters, and/or contribute toward a network of riparian buffers and greenways for environmental, educational, and recreational benefits. CWMTF estimates that more than $10.5 billion is needed to protect and restore water quality in North Carolina. The 21-member, independent, CWMTF Board of Trustees has full responsibility over the allocation of money from the fund. ###
