McGee received her B.A. degree in Zoology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. Prior to joining the CWMTF staff in 1998, she was employed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Division of Water Quality (DWQ) for about 13 years. At DWQ, McGee worked in a variety of programs, including nonpoint source management, standards and classifications, stormwater, and water supply.   She enjoys spending time with her two daughters, gardening, fishing, and hiking,.
