The successful
trustee is a productive and responsible team player who works in a high
quality manner while serving CWMTF’s mission and operating plan.
Team

of group (board and staff) functioning with the organization.

Quality: maintains a high level of performance in trustee responsibilities
as defined below.
Trustee Roles and Responsibilities
Individual
1. Trustee has
a high level of knowledge in one or more aspects of surface water quality
or related issues and is willing to develop a broad range of
understanding about water quality as it relates to funding projects
for CWMTF.
2. Trustee is prepared for
board and committee meetings prior to attending.
3.
Trustee is able to commit to a high level of attendance
and participation at board and committee meetings.
4. Trustee assists the board
chairman and executive director in orienting new trustees to their roles
and responsibilities on the board.

5. Trustees assist in overseeing
management and fiscal activities of CWMTF.
6. Trustees hire the Executive
Director and oversee policy decisions that affect staff.
7. Trustees commit to operate
within the agreed-upon norms of CWMTF.

define key indicators of success for CWMTF, including scientific, social
and political measures.
