Clean Water Management Trust Fund Board Holds Annual Planning Retreat in Durham RALEIGH - The board of trustees of the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund holds its regularly scheduled meeting and annual retreat Sunday, February 10 and Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Washington Duke Inn, 3001 Cameron Boulevard, Durham, North Carolina Sunday's meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Monday session starting at 8:30 a.m.. The full agenda for both sessions is available at www.cwmtf.net /feb08agenda.htm The CWMTF was established in 1996 to help finance projects that enhance or restore degraded waters, protect unpolluted waters, and/or contribute toward a network of riparian buffers and greenways for environmental, educational, and recreational benefits. According to recent estimates by the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, more than $17 billion is needed to protect and restore water quality in North Carolina.
